Most academics seem to be left-wing but the students are getting more and more right-wing.

I've been told a couple of times that Warwick seems to be a Labour recruitment centre. I wouldn't call this "left-wing", though...
Meritocratic, non-elitist, no history to speak of, a pretty solid place - particularly for economics.

Epic in there intake of privileged middle class white kids with no ambition or work ethic who like to pontificate about orientalism and are so mired in moral relativism and high on weed that they couldn't find their own backbone if they spent a year half-heartedly looking for it.
    Hehe. :p:

    Well-played, sir.

    In my opinion - yes.
I think LSE is quite left-wing, as is Manchester.
Nah, not any more. It's full of City workers-to-be.

Southampton's pretty apathetic. Actually, it couldn't be more apathetic if it tried. The campus political parties are pretty inactive and people just seem uninterested in politics in general.

    maybe :p:
i would say campus is more left winged, the SU is pretty much ran by socialists, but then they are more champagne socialists you seem to jump on anything that they think is cool and annoy everyone

but the on the other side tories are very quite about campus, much like labour, the biggest would be the lib dems

Well the SU building here at Bangor was named after Steve Biko until the mid-90s i believe.....so thats kinda left-wing :dontknow:
Biko wasn't really left wing, are you mixing him up with Chris Hani.

Biko was more an advocate of identity politics, black consciousness, didn't want the end of apartheid to be left to white liberals because he thought it was patronising.
