    Hello

    I have read that it is a good idea to have complex carbs before a workout.

    1. But is it good to have complex carbs (bread, pasta, oats) after a workout?

    2. After a workout, I normally have a protein shake, and then about 1 hour later at home, I have some beans (kidney, berlotti beans, lintils etc) and naan bread. Would that be a good idea?

    Any other suggestions (im vegetarian by the way)

    The most obvious suggestion would be to quit your vegetarianism.

    Failing that, yes have carbs after a workout as well.

    Yes, but vegetarianism and eating something that looks like seaweed at the local hippy bistro go hand and hand. And that's only a stepping stone to ... homosexuality!
