For part of my dissertation I'm looking at support networks for high academic achievers and so if you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated

    high academic achievers?
Yes, as opposed to a low academic achiever (someone who fails modules).

I talk to friends about the course, people who will understand what I am talking about. Lecturers just intimidate me and tend to give very generic advice.

Erm, a combination of all of them. I'll generally look it up in a book and/or try and figure it out myself, but failing that, teachers, friends and of TSR are on hand to help. How are you defining a 'high academic achiever' though?
