i volunteer at church, as a sunday school teacher, because i genuinly love it.
i volunteer at st john ambulance because i wanna do medicine and it gives my good 'hands on' time with real live patients.
i volunteer at the sure start childrens center because my mum sees patients there and they really needed volunteers. so i am just being helpful really, but the kids are also cute.
i volunteered at the homeless shelter because when i started i was unemployed and board.
ultimitly they all help towards uni applications but that is not the reason i do them. i wouldnt carry them on if i hated them.
why do you ask?

To get experience, to gain confidence and to do things I wouldn't usually get the chance to.

To actually help people, but also to gain valuable experience.
