I'm assuming you're a IB Year 1 student since you're just choosing your EE topics...

I think its great that you know what you want to do, but you're EE topic has to fall under a subject you're currently taking. I personally think its best to do an EE topic on a humanities subject because generally those are easiest and most interesting. Why don't you do it on a book that has something to do with equality & woman's rights? then at least it falls under English.

I totally understand how you feel right now, I'm a IB Year 2 student and I absolutely hated it last year. I was constantly complaining how IB sucks and the workload is crazy, I'm not gonna lie to you, it doesnt get any better. However, you slowly get used to it and the sense of joy you get when you're finishing up all your stuff is really great.

dont give up alright! keep working hard and its gonna help so much when it comes time to apply to universities

Why didn't they say you should do it?! Do something about the development of feminist philosophical ideas according to modern events, what change they made, etc. Check the section on feminism in Using Political Ideas and Concepts (5th ed) by Goodwin if you can for some basic ideas. You might even wanna contrast it with some feminist books (the Bell Jar, Handmaid's Tale) etc.

well i've been doing IB for THREE years (first year i had to move schools and start again - lame)...IB is hard but you need to work hard and sort yourself out if you want to do well. I know it is hard, my exams are in 101 days =[ but like if you apply yourself, and have a consistent schedule then you'll be fine =] just stay on top of your work,...also how you perceive it isn't helping...you need to start seeing IB in a positive light =] yay!
