Can anyone tell me how many UCAS points General Studies is actually worth? This seems to be an impossible question - no-one really knows (and, no, it isn't worth the same as any other A-level).

Yes it is, for the full A level:

    A* - 140
    A - 120
    B - 100
    C - 80
    D - 60
    E - 40
    U - 0

However, many universities do not include it in their offers.

Yes, General Studies is worth the same on UCAS as all other A levels.

    However.

Some/many universities do not recognise it as a subject and therefore it is worth nothing to those universities.

You'd be surprised how many unis do accept it though - they just don't tend to be ones people on TSR apply to :P
    Even Sheffield Uni accepts it!
And yes, its UCAS points value is the same as any other A-level.

Even if they dont accept it, im guessing if their split between two people it could give you a little push. And seeing as you do no lessons for it, it cant be all bad getting a free a-level, no matter how recognised it is.

I think if you were doing it, you would want it as an additional A-level rather than as one of your core A-levels (so do 3 "proper" A-levels + general studies)
