    Yeah, however I don't think the retailer even looks at the card number, it just goes through the computers, so it is probably more secure than ordering by phone(as your telling someone your card details).

    Whats more important below:
    You must make sure you have up to date Anti-Virus and scan your pc for spyware, and that the website is a legit site! (check for reviews online, and if it seems to good to be true....it is!).

    Currently using a free version of AVG i dunno how safe it is but do update and run regular scans

    I would be more concerned about the retailer being genuine

    most payment methods are secure unless

    1) the entire shop is dodgy and you wont get your goods anyway
    2) the payment system is hacked - which you cannot predict and will affect everyone who used that payment system (could be millions of people)
