I've applied for my accommodation choices now, and officially listed Charlotte Court as my firm choice for accommodation :woo:

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with any up to date information on this residence, as all I can find listed currently on the TSR appears to be very old I.e 2006. This list is as follows:

- How long is the walk between Charlotte Court & SHU?

- Are the flats separated into 3 Males & 3 Females, as well as another 6 on the same floor?

- How close is the nearest bar/pub, and the walking distance between Charlotte Court and Town.

- How big are the rooms? (Please provide pictures)

- Is there really a Netto Superstore right next to the accommodation, and just how cheap is it?

- Just how fun is it staying at Charlotte Court, parties every-night? :woo:

- Are there any common rooms, with pool tables and more? :yep:

- On average, how many hours of lectures do first years have each week, and what days are they on (if not all)?

Any help answering these questions would be more than appreciated, if anyone has any pictures they'd like to share of Charlotte Court, please feel free.

Hey mate, i live in charlotte court atm,

its about 10-15 minute walk to the city campus for hallam, not far at all.

Most flats are split 3 girls, 3 boys on in each 6 bedroom flat,

The nearest pub is the 'royal standard' about 5 mins walk, only down one road, its alright but pretty pricey, town is only a 10-15 minute walk away if that. but if you cba walking taxis like £3 lol.

iv not got any pictures, but i can find some if you want. rooms are big enough, depends if you get a double room, (1 double room per flat), you get the usual in normal rooms, single bed, desk, bathrooms in all seperate rooms. I was happy with mine, iv seen alot worse.

About 100 metres is a KFC, Netto and Pound stretcher, its well cheap but most of the stuff they sell is crap, alcohol is right cheap though so (Y), sainsburys local is only 5 minute's away as well so!

Charlotte court has a common room with a nintendo wii, pool table, beanbags, tv with freeview ect.

Im usualy in 10 hours a week, im off monday and tuesday, its brilliant. your first years a hoot.

If you need any more info just hit me up!

these halls are proper social, its great! compared to some it's a real bonus, furnishing isnt brilliant, but you get everything you need. just have to et used to real student lifestyle.!

Ive chosen Charlotte Court as my first accom choice too, go on youtube and put in sheffield hallam charlotte court, and theres a few videos made by people who lived there that might give an idea of what its like. Then again I have no idea if its still like that, but its worth a look?

Wicked buddy, couldn't find a Sainsbury's when I went up although I'm sure it's close. Charlotte Court is my first choice, so some pictures would be awesome... help me get an idea of how much space my room will have come September. Also, glad to hear there are common rooms... couldn't find any information about that anywhere else! P.S Seen the videos

I've been thinking of putting Charlotte Court down as one of my choices because I've heard how social it is and that it is ideal for freshers. Do anyone know how sociable other halls are such as Trigon, Bramall Court, Phoenix Court and Archways?

my friend stayed in Bramall court in her first year and she really liked it and had an amazing time. Ive never been there myself, but she made it sound really good. I put that as my second choice aswell, mainly because of how she made it sound.

Theres my room, fair few photo's fro freshers and this year on my facebook but them links should take you to my flat.

Sainsburys is a really small one, probs wouldn't have seen it. Yeah basically these halls are mint, by far one of the most social neat hallam!

P.S most of my mates liv in the trigon, that was my second choice, it's nice, it's harder to socialise cause no1 uses the court in the middle, but knocking on peoples flats freshers sorts you out! Bramall court is okay, its abit far out, i wouldnt want to live their, but thats probs cause im happy here (charlotte court).
