If you think UWE is bad, most of mine applied to Northampton and Bedfordshire! Closeness and all but also my schools just average.
Lol... yeah, I think it's just the fact that there are 800 people doing A levels at my college and the majority of them go to UWE... It's just crazy! There are so many Universities out there of the same rank that offer similar entry requirements in a much better location! UWE is in the most inconvenient part of Bristol! It's miiillleees from town lol.

Loads of people in my 6th form have applied to Birmingham. Then again there's only about 30 of us in the year so that's not v representative of a general trend!

I seriously concidered doing Journalism there, I was amazed at the course when I went to the open day innnn 08 (?)
I havent been to an open day yet, I'm just going on what the website says. It looks like it has so much choice with what you can do for your journalism degree.

Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham are the most popular in my year. Most people are applying to at least two of those.

I know, some people are just crazy!! My friends are all staying at home and going to the closet uni's but I know for a fact that some of them are better than that and have the grades to go to better uni's further away. They just want to play it safe though and go for what is familiar to them. I wouldn't go to a uni that close to be honest, I think it would be a really crap experience! (Plus them uni's are dire!)

A lot here are going for Edinburgh, Leeds, Leeds Met, UCLan, Manchester, Man Met and Salford. A couple have applied to Cambridge and one girl in my History class has gone for Harvard :ninja:

I've just realised, you went to the same college as me! I left last year :woo:

Southampton is incredibly popular this year, along with Bath and Exeter. Lots of Bristol applicants too. Nobody is really branching out as such, and going for anywhere particularly far flung. Oh, UEA is also extremely popular.

Well my school is a piece of ****.

So most of them applied to universities what don't warrant a mention.. I don't think one student in the whole year has applied to Oxbridge, UCL, Imperial, etc...

Kent is very popular at my school due mainly to location really, Nottingham and Canterbury have also been on lots of people's applications. Ravensbourne college is coming up the most though it seems, lots of Media students getting offers.

Quite many people in my school have chosen Essex, due to the fact that its community has many international students and the university has a good reputation.
