Just wondering what my chances will be to get a good internship one day. Will they just go off your degree predictions, or do they also look at A-levels and any other qualifications?

What exactly are they looking for?

The above poster is right somewhat, occasionally it's a bit of a lottery getting to interview stage with so many good applicants to screen through. As a screening process though, from what I've learned from talking to HR at various banks, the three key factors they consider are:

    1) University reputation
    2) Extracurricular activities & work experience
    3) University subject/(grades)

From there it's literally how good you are in interview/AC, this means being confident, knowledgeable about the industry and able to demonstrate the core competencies in group exercises/numerical tests etc.

    4) Your network

At the beginning a BB rejected me, but a Director asked to interview me.

I met him during an event and we talked for around 2 hrs of his job and where I should have applied (unfortunately too late for other apps)
