    I'm from Birmingham but all my friends tell me that I took in a really posh accent, which i'm not btw. Although, I do have this weird tendency to talk even more poshly when i'm in a formal situation i.e. talking to a teacher, doctor basically respected elders. I don't like it because people usually stare when i'm doing it (and I can't tell when i'm doing it, I guess it's just natural).

    I'm not even that well spoken... just I stick out relatively.

    One person yesterday: I met someone like you the other day!
    Me: What do you mean by that?
    They said: Y'know, a posh chick. :yep:
    Me: :confused:

    American accents rock, trust me :cool:

    Hahaha Thanks. Not as cool as british accents though sadly

    Last year in leeds nobody understood me at all :sad:, I'm not joking, half the time I had to repeat things at least twice for the first month or so:rolleyes:

    Glad you like 'em though :blush:

    I wish my accent sounded more British.. when people meet me they always ask if I'm American :|
    Although, if I did sound like where I was born then I should have an east London/Essex accent so I don't know if that would be any better, lol.

    Mate - whatever you do, don't visit anywhere north of Birmingham - the accents change from there - not counting Somerset, Wales and Cockney!

    yeah i guess ur right, british girls aren't really very attractive, but I disagree with the accent thing, as soon as above average girl thinks they are goodlooking and then suddenly opens their mouth, they make me want to vomit out of my nose, pretty loud and obnoxious actually. however ever there are a few, especially the ones with short black hair with pencil skirts, with black jumpers....yummy

    This summer I met a lot of British girls the sea resorts in Bulgaria and their accent was extremely hot..There were some attractive ones, and some not-so-attractive , but their accent was very exciting :}

    I guess girls around the world feel the same towards UK guys , as far as I remember from US movies :}
    well I have a posh version of a scouse accent - and I somehow still get compliments on it!! haha

    I was told once that "if your accent was a person, I'd so sleep with it".
    I'm not sure how to take that one.
