They always have the option of getting a bf pretty fast. Whether they'd take it is another matter...

Anyone who argues otherwise is a liar.

I think the reason male and female views on this are divided, and the men can't understand why this is so, is because the boys are forgetting there's a difference between a ****-buddy and a girlfriend. If I wanted to I could have 12 **** buddies on the go at once and shag one every pm hour. However, there isn't a single guy in my life right now who'd like to be my boyfriend. For a real relationship you need more than sexual attraction.

Anyone can pretty much always get a gf/bf.
There will always be someone more desperate.

A hot girl getting a hot bf can't always happen. At the end of the day that boy will be seeing other girls.

I think it's true only if good looks come with wit and self-confidence. It's amazing how many good-looking people out there have the self-confidence of a frog on a stick.

However, good-looking girls usually don't make the right choices and end up with a bad excuse for a human being as boyfriend.

And it's true good-looking girls get hit on primarily because guys want to shag them.

    This.

I went to school with a girl who is now an international catwalk model. She is, an always was, breathtakingly stunning. But she was also a Christian who didn't want to have sex before marriage. No guy wanted to go out with her, because they knew they wouldn't get any. They went for the average looking girls who might actually put out instead.

It's true but doesn't necessarily mean they'll have a boyf; girls can be choosy.
You make it sound like us guys are just cattle on the market, and ooo maybe if we're lucky we might be judged worthy enough

Most people can get a bf or gf if they really try, but it's not about having a partner, it's about having the right partner!!!

Well a sexless relationship isn't exactly my idea of a fun or healthy relationship, but that's not to say sex is the only thing someone is looking for - common misconception.

Oh, so a girl should just go out with the first/any guy who asks her out?

But it kind of disproves the quote in the OP - despite her incredible looks she could not get a boyfriend.

Wow where did you get that from?

The way you phrased it came across as guys being pretty much at the mercy of girls. Besides, just because someone is relatively attractive, doesn't mean they deserve a super great person through their so called higher standards (i.e. being choosy).

Yeah I think it's pretty much true. Although some may not if they're really picky.

She still had guys after her though due to initial attraction so she could get a boyfriend if she really wanted - but it would be a non starter for a relationship due to different stances on sexual issues.

Absolutely true, as (even without desirable personality) there will always be takers for good looks.

I think we need to step off of the moral high-horses.
I think you need to start thinking in another perspective. I have a friend who is completely stunning. She's told this all the time, yet she's never had a boyfriend, or even dated someone. She never gets that kind of attention from boys. Reason? No self confidence. She was bullied for 7 years and has been that beaten down that she's one of the most shy people I know. She's still bullied slightly to this day, and even though she's possibly the most beautiful girl in the school; she thinks that she's the ugliest, fattest girl alive. She is neither. So you're going to tell me, that a guy would put up with her constant ridiculous mood swings, depression, constant crying and thinking that she's the ugliest being alive. Just because she's beautiful?
