# I'm a little confused with UMS scoring for Edexcel AS Level. Can someone explain? watch

1. Like how does it work with the grade boundaries?
I'm a tad confused with how it works?
What's the grae boundaries for A or a B for C1,C2 and S1.

Thanks

The same as any other A level: A, 80% of UMS; B, 70%; C, 60%. The raw marks needed will vary slightly from year to year, of course.
3. All AS and A2 modules are the same:

80% of UMS is an A, 70% is a B etc.

For Edexcel maths modules, they are all out of 100 so 80 UMS is an A.

Some modules are out of 90 for instance, so 80% of 90 =72 UMS for an A.

For each exam, the examiners decide what mark they think is worthy of an A on that paper and set the A grade UMS there, so for January's C2 it could be they decide that 58 out of 75 is right for an A, so someone getting 58 will then be given 80 UMS.
