    hello
    im in yr 11 and currently choosing my options for a level and a lot of ppl have been talking about the AEA and i was wondering what this was and what the point of it is and is it in addition to normal a levels or what and is it just for biology:confused:

    also do all schools do it and do universities like it?:confused:

    as you can see i have a lot of questions so please help!!

    Biology AEA isn't being don't anymore because of the new A* grade. It was basically a paper aimed at the higher people (top 10% I think) and you were banded according to your performance. It was looked on favorably by universities, however it has been replace by the A-level A*

    It's been replaced by the A* grade and the extended project which is worth an AS and is an essay (or a video, creative writing piece etc) done on any subject. Ask your head of sixth form if your school will be doing them.
