Student loans and student ambassador job.

Everything, except rent and food (though I do pay for this sporadically). Then when Ive saved enough it will repay some old family loans for my first car.

Family holidays? Nice Christmas presents? Come on, you must do..
we haven't been in holiday in nearly 2 years, i didnt even leave the country last year
and christmas presents, they just give me some money which inevitably gets spent on textbooks/lunches rather than being saved up for an immenant gap year.

    my part-time job, only £40 a week.
its unfair you get EMA just cos your parents earn under like £30k, i get disadvantaged just because both of my parents earn over that a year - believe me, just because they earn a lot does not mean I see any of it - I don't get an allowance of any kind at all, except for them paying for my train every month and money nessacery for credit to keep in touch with them. I have to pay for everything else. sucks.

Welcome to my world - ar least they pay for ur train and credit! i have not recieved a PENNY off my parents in over a year. I didnt even get ANYTHING AT ALL for xmas! i never have any money left to myself, with over £100 travel costs every month, £35 phone contract etc.... if i have a good week at work i will get like £60.
I havent even bought any clothes since sept, and its making me really depressed, i feellike a tramp , i can not afford to look good anymore, not to even mention socialising in any form.

My mates families are all on far far lower pay than mine but they get way more than me for christmas and birthdays and just in general.

They go on holidays as well(as do i) so that in turn proves that they see more money from their families even if mine earns more and my mum earns like 300 over the boundary for ema. it really does suck.

I know what you mean i know people who seemingly earn a lot less and go on holiday lots of times more than we do.
