I am with Edexcel GCSE Business Studies.
I gave my coursework in to my teacher who is a REALLY useless teacher. He is completely unaware that the students in our class don't even listen to him. I think I was probably the only person who handed in a coursework more than one page. He marked my C/W and I got an A for it, a couple of marks off an A*. He doesn't even follow the mark scheme, just makes up his own answers. He says he is a "hardman" when it comes to giving A*'s  I want to get an A* and to be honest, i've seen the mark scheme and I think I deserve it. I've even made improvements, its just I don't think he is really that bothered. He's like one of those teachers who don't like marking books and coming to work and hates children (at least it seems like it lol)
When I hand in my C/W to him for the final draft, is it he who marks it or the exam board?

    Thanks..

    Hey,

When you give him the final piece, HE will mark it. However, Edexcel ask for a sample of a couple of pieces of coursework from each class. They always ask for the highest scoring piece (which i presume is yours), and the lowest scoring piece. They will then moderate the marks according to their mark scheme.

If yours is the highest scoring piece, it will need to be handed in anyway.

Schools are also required to do internal moderation. This involves comparing the marks awarded by all the teachers who are responsible for delivering the course.
