Ok.... I have 3 and they're tied because I can never choose! In this order:

David Gray - This year's love (it's sad but it's about getting over heartbreak and being scared to love again but overcoming it)

Darren Hayes - So beautiful (The lyrics are gorgeous, the way love should be - "And if all the world was perfect I would only ever want to see your scars..." I was actually in my friends car and he had this on his ipod, I didn't think anyone else knew of it!)

The Script - I'm yours (I don't usually like the script but I love this. Basically, the way I feel about myself in love)

Personally, The Calling - Wherever You Will Go (might not recognise the name but give it a google and it might ring a bell):
I love this one! My favourite, I think, has to be Hear You Me by Jimmy Eat World

Hallelujah, both Buckleys and Wainwrights version - beautiful, and it strikes up some rather special memories with my bf

there's such a fine line between empty cheese and pure 'beauty' in a love song. i think hallelujah, jeff buckley's version is my favourite. 'love is not a victory march, but it's a cold and broken hallelujah'. it's honest, i think the world needs more honesty. and it shows that love can make you feel a way you've never felt before, and that's why it hurts so much when it's over. i believe true love is fantasy anyway.

Sur Le Fil - Yann Tiersen. From the film, Amelie.
It's not really a love song, but it's beautiful.
