    Does anyone know how to answer Q14 in section A of 2009 past paper?

    How to wrk it out plz not just answer

    Since the same volume of each layer is diluted by the same concentration of NaOH then the partition co-efficient is simply a ratio of the volumes of NaOH used to neutralise it As the chemical equation is shown I think you have to divide the amount in the product by the amount in the reactants, which is 13.3/20 = 0.67 (A).
