    hi, quick question
i heard it was possible to do the search on the ucas website and see which courses/unis have vacancies and email the uni directly with your details/newpersonalstatement...and they'll tell you if they'd accept you or not..without withdrawing ur application from your other unis on ucas...AND if they emailed you back with an offer, THEN you could withdraw your other choices from ucas.. is this true?

    THANKS

You can search the UCAS site to see any vacancies, but this function isn't available yet as Extra doesn't open until the end of February. Then it is a good idea to contact unis to see if they will consider you. However, they will probably not tell you whether they will give you an offer or not until you actually do apply.
