am i the only guy in the world that loves clingy girls, i like being called, and not always doing the calling, i like girls that wana spend alot of time with me. none of my mates like that atall they just wana get some action i think, but i dunno. who else lieks clingy girls?
I'm a girl and I think being clingy requires alot of time and energy. I have the time but I'm too lazy. I settle for being aloof. It's easier and comes more naturally. Clingyness to me signals weakness.
When you use the word "clingy", it automatically means something negative. I hate the word, especially when it's used to describe a partner who obviously cares a lot.
I wouldn't say clingy describes a partner who cares alot. The experience I posted, it was my ex. We were in a club I went over and chatted for a bit then went back to my mates. She came up and slapped me and went mental saying I wasn't talking to her enough. That in my opinion is clingy.
I think you're getting confused betwen clingy and smitten/caring There's a big difference.
A girl who loves spending time with you, phones you often and generally doesn't like to be apart from you is not necessarily clingy at all.
Clingy is when you are on the recieving end of a hissy fit if they are not invited to go EVERYWHERE you go at all times; are prone to serious jealousy if you even breathe near another girl; and make sure that everyone in the nearest vicinity knows that you are hers.. every five minutes..
A girl who is 'clingy' is nice as long as she knows that sometimes you need your space. I quite like it, although as most guys will say, it can become a little unbareable.

Well yes, but the situation the guy who started the thread described sounds more like a girl that cares than a girl that clings.
It depends on what you mean by clingy and the extent. I love clingy AND selfless girls who want to spend time and approach you just for the sake of it. But they mustn't be controlling - demanding lots in reciprocation etc. It's important that these girls are naturally clingy and not because of some psychological dependence or low self-esteem. Oh and clingy exclusively of course, and not to every Tom, Dick and Harry.

there is a HUGE difference between someone caring alot and someone being clingy.
My girlfriend I know cares about me alot, but the last thing she is is clingy, we both know we have our own lives apart from each other, and we are both happy to let each other live those lives, I know she wouldn't get upset if i went out with my friends without her or something similar. (well, me living in Manchester and her in Oxford during term time means we would be in ALOT of trouble if either of us were clingy) A clingy girl would get upset.
