I have had periods for a few years now and i have always used pads (mainly because i afraid it might hurt/my mum wont let me and tells me things such as you cant wear a tampon until after you have sex/give birth). But recently i hate the feeling of wearing pads and would pefer a more ... (how do i put this) discrete (as if its not there) more free sort of feeling. Anyway my questions are:

    1. Does it hurt?
    2. As someone who suffers from both menorrhagia and dysmenorrhea (so bad i have to take tranexamic acid and the other one starting with an m :p: ) is it wise to use a tampon.
    3. [links with above Q] What type of tampon should i use due to menorrhagia and dysmenorrhea.
    4. [links with above Q] Will i have to wear a tampon & liner/pad.
