    like these:

does anyone else find these just fall apart??
i've had 2 pairs so far both fell apart on the first wear, the first just got a hole in the knee but the second pair...well i'm suprised i was still wearing them by the end of the night, the waistband had practically come off and there were loads of pretty big holes all over

but i really like these tights! i did think that maybe i should buy a bigger size so they're not so taught and easily ripped...but at £8 a pair it's not an experiment i'll willing to try, so do they rip for everyone...or is it just me?

I have ones that are basically the same from Miss Selfridge, I've worn them a few times and there are no holes (yet), they are £2 cheaper as well. I'm really careful when putting them on though, it takes about 5 minutes, annoying!

Ha yeah, I've the same problem OP - the first ones I bought (which were the right size for me), I tried them on when I got home and they tore at the slightest graze with my fingernail (which are not even that long).

I have found the waistband stretched and deformed, making them unwearable after a few hours, they also laddered through rubbing against my denim skirt. Waste of good and hard earned money

Ditto. Topshop are overpriced and everything falls apart. :|
    Buy stockings/tights online. www.mytights.com

Topshop hosiery isn't great - you can get the same pieces for much cheaper elsewhere. www.mytights.com and www.tightsplease.co.uk are both very good for pretty much everything you could want in a pair of tights.

Yes! I was so annoyed, though they are thin tights so I expected it. Try cheaper ones? Primark or New Look do less expensive versions. Obviously they'll still ladder, but it won't be so annoying.

I have the heart back seams ones and love them, I had a pair before though that ripped but I ripped 4 pairs of tights putting them on that morning so who knows what I was doing.
I have seen a few of those heart print ones ripped within the packaging though which put me off buying them. I wouldn't bother buying a bigger pair, the elastic will probably give quickly making them baggy on your legs.

I ripped a hole in mine the first time I wore them. It was at the top so I sewed it together and I'm going to Wonder Web it too. For £8 I'm not throwing them away! I also have the gold spotty ones for £12 and I'm terrified of wearing them!
