Hi, I am trying to write my personal statement for the Oxford UNIQ summer school to apply for physics,
I was just wondering if anyone has been on the physics course at oxford with UNIQ or sutton trust and what they thought of it.
Also what shall i put in my personal statement? as i have no idea, and what is my likely hood of getting into the course seeing as i got 5A* and 7A at GCSE and took Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Maths for a-level (not further maths like UNIQ want).
Thanks in advance.

It's probably a little late judging by the date that you posted, but this might help other people later so yeah
I got a place on the physics summer school this year and I've been talking to the others who did on the forums. It doesn't seem to matter so much what kind of school you come from (only state schools, but the actual performance of the school doesn't seem to make that much of a difference) but most people have at least 5A*s at GCSE. A few people aren't taking further maths, but most of them are. My advice would be to have a go and see what happens! Even if you don't get a place, it's good experience at writing a personal statement. About a quarter of applicants get places, so you may as well try!
