I tried stroke, but its tough. The cox really gets on my nerves and shouts all the time and wen she's pulling her little thing I feel it the most and puts me off my stroke.I love sculling(two oars), feel more in control so wont be falling into the Hades that is below, yuk.
Im still thinking about whether to continue rowing at durham tho. I might take up summat else, maybe lacrosse. Although my rents want me to do tennis, but keep trying to explain to them that I am rubbish and there is no use playing tennis unless your good.

You should try out rowing - Chads don't have many teams but the ones they do have are pretty good, they're a respected college for rowing  (have beat us on several occasions lol)

And I'm not too good at sculling, been out in a quad-rigged 4 but not in a double or a single, but I'd so just capsize if I did! Although our crew isn't amazing at rowing, we had to learn how to row in a plastic one week before a regatta for certain reasons. Everyone said we'd capsize, but we didn't....we're actually damn good at balancing the boat, and so I feel much safer in a 4 than I would in a single lol

Lacrosse is meant to be pretty good to get into - but remember there are A LOT of sports in Durham so you have lots of choice  I played hockey for a bit then realised I was crap so stopped

Next year - college rowing, college coxing probably, university athletics (long distance running) I think

How did this turn into a discussion about endurance sports?
