Right, this might sounds completely pathetic and stupid, and I'm not looking for an excuse to get into University by the way, so please don't think that!!

Throughout sixth form, I've suffered very hard issues with bulimia. It was much worse throughout year 12 which caused me to miss a lot of precious school time, due to me becoming very ill and also attending many hospital appts. This then resulted in quite low grades . Although I still have issues with eating, I'm trying my hardest to get over it so I can get the best grades I possibly can for Uni.
I'm worried that my illness is going to hold me back, and not let me achieve the grades I need. I have an interview on the 24th and even though my illness was mentioned in my reference, do you think they will take my problem into consideration and take me on if my grades are slightly below average?

Thank you for all responses and help, I really appreciate it all!

They have to take it into consideration, I believe - they certainly have to for other disabilities/mental health problems.

Dont worry, they won't judge you. Just provide them some evidence to back up with what you're saying and I'm sure they will be understanding of your situation.
