    I have taken

    English Literature
    Film Studies
    Music Technology

I know media is highly looked down upon by unis but are these acceptable A level choices??

For which degree? For a sports degree, no. You do however, have lots of choice, which is good.

    hey there,

i really don't know about film studies...

i only knew about media studies due to its reputaion...

but i've never heard of that...

oither than that they are graet choices.

i would question your choice of music tech, but anything music related is good in my book!

    good luck

How are we defining "good" here?

A good A-level could be the sort that universities like to see. Examples would be Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and the like.

A good A-level could also be something you enjoy, but different people enjoy different subjects (I enjoy Biology and Economics, for example).

And, of course, a good A-level could just be an easy one. Film Studies comes to mind.

A single A-level can easily combine the first two criteria, but it's unlikely that an A-level universities are looking for is going to be particularly easy.

Personally, I would ditch Film Studies or Music Technology and take Maths, Physics, or Chemistry to improve my chances of getting admitted to a good university. You have to "soft" A-levels right now (Film Studies and Music Technology), and that's one too many for a number of top universities.

I was thinking of ditching music tech in a level...

I was going to go for geography. But in all fairness, I dislike the fact that geography doesnt really fit anywhere...I mean, English or geography really?
At least english says what it does. Geography is like a mash up of everything. I find it pretty pointless.
Other than that, options are History maybe or Biology.

If you want my point of view, apart from English Literature, they're pretty worseless..

Film studies, computing and Music are pretty weak, but if oyu don't care about getting in to a decent university, then they're fine.

    Again I could be wrong..

    Tsk dont diss Geography =P
    It's the best subject =D
