    Hi,

I'm taking F maths (edexcel) and I am not sure whether to take D2 or S3. S3 can be taught to me by my school, but D2 i'll have to do myself.

Does any one have any suggestions? Please give reasoning for your answer?

    Many thanks

    JT80

    P.S I've done/am doing S1, S2, D1, M1, M2 and I am definitely not doing M3 so please dont recommend it.

I'd say S3, since your school can teach you it. I also find stats more interesting than decision (although I've only done D1)

S3, because it's not too difficult if you have a good grasp on S2, and because it's far more interesting than a decision module...

I got told that S3 is more interesting. Did you do FP3, you could consider that as well

S3 is probably more useful than D2 to add.

if ur school could teach D2 then I would advice that since its waay easier, but otherwise just do S3. more relevant + u actually get taught.

I've thought of FP3 but it falls out the same day as chemistry unit 5. I don't want to sit the two hardest A level modules on the same day. Also i only have one 45m free a week, if i do D1 and D2 alone i'll get 9 frees a week.

I may have to learn S3 by myself too.

What's easier to learn by oneself, S3 or D2?

    Is S3 interesting?

Btw I dont need any specific module for uni as want to go to med school and med school don't like F maths.

    Probably D2.

I found S2 quite interesting, but I haven't done it since last summer and now S3 doesn't seem as interesting - I think I'm just not used to it after the break though - it might improve as I get back into doing stats.
