    There was a TV show called 'Britain's Missing Model' about just this...

    Unfortunate as it is, brands choose models who sum up 'perfection', as they will sell products through making consumers think 'if I wear/buy/use this item, I will be physically/visually improved by how it looks on me'.

    that being said i see no reason why someone with say a hearing aid modeling clothes.
