Yo, if I do work experience at the same place twice in a row, will that look worse than saying you did it at 2 different places? (e.g. 2 diff dental practices)

Also, what kind of work experience is expected for medicine? (I heard that it is tough to go to a doctors surgery as patients need privacy, etc)

Work experience does not have to be in i.e a doctor's surgery. As long as it is work experience with a caring nature, i.e old people's home. Or any work experience which requires skills to be a doctor, i.e something with communication, team working, etc.

You could try work shadowing?
These are things which show you are commited to medicine.

I know someone who volunteered at the local hospital. They were on reception for a bit and showed family members to the right wards and also were able to take the shop round to patients.

I don't think it'd matter if you've done work experience twice at the same place as you would have still done a variety of tasks both times that gave you an insight into the profession.
