I have gotta go to two applicant days, one in Manchester on the 10th of Feb and another in Liverpool on the 15th. I kind of want to go on my own to gain some indepence but I'm not sure if it's a good idea!

I've been to the University of Manchester before so kind of know my way round and I know my way to the train station etc but it's a bit daunting going there by myself!

I've got another applicant day in LJMU and I've never been to the uni before so don't know my way round at all but I think I'd feel safer in Liverpool! I've been there more often and I'm more familiar with the place plus I got a friend in uni there if I get really lost. Just wondering if other people have been by themselves to applicant/open days?

You'll be fine. The nice thing about unis is there are a lot of friendly people round there to ask if you get lost (when I went to Cardiff uni I got totally lost and didn't have a map and just found my way by asking people!) Print some maps of the web so you know your way from the station to the unis and you'll be ok. You'll get a greater sense of achievement out of going by yourself as well.

im thinking of going to the manchester one on my own too :/ meh it will be fine

I also have to go on an applicant open day at Liverpool on my own next month. A lot of people will probably be in the same boat, so I don't think you'll be entirely on your own

you'll be fine; i plan on going to lots by myself over the summer if i do leave where i am now. think of it as an adventure! :awesome:
