Male cat - balding patch by tail. watch

    • Thread Starter

My 4 year old short haired tabby has developed a patch that's balding slightly near the base of his tail. The hair - where there is some - is a lot short, and more coarse than the rest of his fur which is in good condition.

It doesn't seem to bother him, and his skin doesn't appear to be irritated or anything, but this patch is just a bit odd.

This has happened a cople of times to my little girl....she is just super clean and if she get obsessed about a certain bit of fur not being clean she licks it to the extent where she makes the hair fall out.

It should grow back though...if it doesn't just keep your eye on him and on any more patches that might appear
