    Yeah, I am aware of that, and so what if it is? I only just started, so what, you expect me to be doing 100 press ups and sit ups?

    It is not too much, even if you were younger it wouldn't affect your muscle growth that much. I suggest you make sure you do your press ups and sit ups in good form so you do not damage anything. Also you could try pushing yourself even harder to increase progress as 12 push ups is just a starting point.

    just do a few sets of weighted crunches or decline situps and bench isntead of pressups. Of course you could do pressups at the end of an arm workout.
