Twice a day It should be more like twice a week!
The more often you wash your hair, the quicker it will get greasy, the more you'll want to wash it again etc. It's a vicious circle. So no more than 2 times a week, 3 if necessary.

Wash with shampoo about once or twice a week.
Wash with conditioner (YES YOU HEARD ME) the rest of the time... It removes dirt without stripping your hair like the harsh sulphates in shampoo do. At first you're hair will feel greasy, but after a while you'll notice a softness to it... A really good conditioner for co-washing is Alberto VO5 Kiwi Lime Clarifying conditioner because it smells good, it's cheap and it cleans well!
Hope this helps!!

A bit random but how often should you wash your hair?
I've been washing mine twice a day with shampoo, thats just because i like to wake myself up in the morning with a shower and then one again so i feel clean before i go to bed, i wash my hair every time i go for a shower.
I know i'm washing it tooo much as i can go washing it just once a day but any longer and it just feels greasy and unclean.
Am I damaging my hair doing it his often?
I'm male 20yrs old if that helps.
Now, I am a 20 year old guy also, and I'll tell you to start with that I'm not the sort of person that knows alot of stuff about hair. However I think you should also use conditioner, if that helps?

Every 2 days is fine, otherwise you end up washing out all the hair natural oils and damaging it. Get a skin head :-)

You should ask a hairdresser because it can vary depending on how porous your hair is. My sister and I were told washing our hair more than once a week would dry it out as we're both mixed race, but my mum has to wash her hair every other day as hers is very fine.
