worrying [Relationship worries]

Im beginning to think that I am really weird. I have been with my bf for 9 months now and we speak everyday...as its the summer hols im now at home (3 hours from him) so its become like the main bit of our relationship for now. Anyway...I now haven't heard from him for a day and a half..his phone is switched off and there is no1 at home, Im worried to the point that I feel sick that something bad has happened to him. I know im bound to be worried as I care so much for him but am i overreacting?

In my opinion, yes. But then again I'm a fairly relaxed person. I could happily go two or three days without hearing from my fiance and be ok with it. If I phoned and there was no answer I would just assume that he was out enjoying himself. No point in worrying if you haven't heard anything to say you should worry. He's proabably just out enjoying himself. Leave a message and he'll get back to you. If not, phone him again tomorrow.

Probably...its only a day and a bit.

I'd worry, but I worry about everything. Try calling his house again or sending a text. Is he with a friend? Do you have their number? Send them a text asking if they've heard from him because you are a bit worried, i've done this before when I haven't heard from my boyf for an evening, and they don't think I'm nuts..they just understand that it's difficult sometimes when you can't be in touch.

Im sure hes just busy, hes either forget to charge his phone or left it at home. Do you have any other method of leaving him a message?

If I wasn't in touch for one evening and someone phoned my house, mobile and then started phoning my mates, I would think they were nuts.

Hmm I have to agree actually. 3 days perhaps, but 1 is no cause for concern.

well no one is going to tell you if they think you're nuts anyway
If you've text him then he will get it when he turns his phone on

Has he been in touch yet?

if someone kept ringing me all the time wanting to know where i was i'd get sooo annoyed, and it takes a lot to annoy me (wellllll except for when people say modern art isn't art or when people leave clothes all over the fitting rooms at work lol)
i see this thing quite a lot within my group of friends me and my best friend are really the only girls, a few of the guys have girlfriends and they get so annoyed when there girlfriends keep checking up on them, 'what time are you comming home?' 'who are you with?' these guys arnt even the type of guys that would cheat... girls can be so petty lol

Yeah i heard from him..he stayed out at his friends n his battery died. I dont consider myself to b petty, i do worry a lot about most things and it wasnt that I was concerned he was out cheating on me or anything it was that i was genuninely scared that something had happened to him. I guess it does sound stupid but its just that it has become normal that we speak to eachother everyday and so when it didnt happen i just worried. Anyway..problem solved! :-)

Well then maybe I am nuts, but my dad died 4 months ago and I need the security right now as the only member of my family left is my mother, and the next person closest to me is my boyfriend.

Concern is natural, and whats the point in not expressing it?

Concern is cute. I love it when my gf gets scared about my safety. It shows how much she cares. I don't mind it a bit as I am just as worried about her safety when she is not with me.

My girlfriend worries all the time, it sort of feels reassuring and worrying at the same time. On teh one hand I knwo she cares about me, on the other hand I don't want her to feel bad. Dunno how this helps, but just thought it was relevant somehow.
