Open days! watch

    • Thread Starter

I'm a Y12 student and I wanted to spend a lot of the upcoming half term looking around on University open days to give me a feel of what I'd wanna do post sixth form. Trouble is,How do you go about attending a University open day/evening? Is there booking/payment?

I wouldn't go now. There will be mainly visit days happening - for people who have already applied.

Open day for 2011 will start around may

Yep 2011 open days will start nearer/in the summer - Universitys' websites will have information on them.

Open days are free (apart from travel/food etc). Some universities require you to book, others don't and some it's optional - again read the uni's websites for more information on that.

I would think you can at least start researching them now and deciding which ones you want to go to - most unis will have the dates already on their websites somewhere.

When I read posts like this I feel like a noob as I haven't looked at any of my uni's I have applied to yet.
Just hope the prospectus was telling the truth.
Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
