Royal Holloway/Cardiff/Reading watch

    • Thread Starter

I'm stuck for choice between Royal Holloway, Reading and Cardiff universities, so would be massively greatful if anyone could help me towards choosing! I don't really want to know about university rankings and things like that, more the general student experience at each, eg class sizes, nightlife, the area in general etc.

    I'll be studying Ancient History.

    Thank you!!!

    Royal holloway:
Small class sizes. And for a course like ancient history this would probs be guaranteed.
    Good staff to student ratio
    Green campus with communit feel
Loads of socities and sport clubs
Windsor great park, the spot where the magna carta was signed and Virginia Waters as your local parks
Nightlife: not dull no matter what people will try to tell you. Bars, the union, and Medicine which is a bar but is soemtimes a smallscale club
For clubing you can also go to places like Windsor, staines, kingstone etc. Seems to be good enough for the people i knw who are the clubing type.
Area: Well it varies but you have a high student to local ratio, various pubs, leafy. Doesn't matter that its not in a city in a huge town. What you can't get in egham can be found in very nearby towns.
    Windsor on your doorstep.

Isn't royal holloway next to that prison?

Not again! RH has nothing to do with the prison - which is in islington.
We are next to a geted community which used to be a sanitarium founded by the guy who founded RH
