I'm another fan of Urban Decay's eye primer. Fabulous stuff - I find that even expensive, high-pigment eye shadows (MAC, Stilla etc) will crease without priming first. I also never put foundation on my eyelids, but I dunno if that actually makes a difference.

Even the highest quality eyeshadows can crease if you don't prime. You would definitely be better off investing in a primer. If you don't have a lot of money to spend, try ELF's Mineral Eyeshadow Primer, it's 3.50 plus shipping, a lot cheaper than Urban Decay's version and just as effective.
As a compromise, you could alternatively invest in a long-wearing cream eyeshadow like MAC Paint Pots or Benefit Creaseless Cream shadow. They really don't budge, you can apply them as sheerly as you want, and they're around the 10 pound mark.

Sleek makeup palettes are incredible. £4.99 or something ridiculous for a palette of... ten colours I think? I bought one just because I liked the colours, and I've discovered that they're actually incredible! The colours stay so strong and stay put really well! I use Urban Decay primer sometimes, but often I don't bother and it's still fine! Really would recommend Sleek, as some people have thought it's Mac before when I've had it on, so clearly doesn't look as cheap as it is!

It's much better getting a good primer. I have every brand of eyeshadow you can think of (including a toy barbie one from when I was about 6) and none of them crease when I use a primer. I use Urban Decay primer potion in sin because it blends in best with my skin and I also like the ELF one.

I'm in the Urban Decay club. The colours are beautiful too.
