I had my ucas application ready on the 8th January and emailed my old college asking for the reference that i require and it took them until the 22nd to process it (the extended deadline). My reference was written by someone i don't know there but the careers department got references from all my old subjects and personal tutor yet none of their names have appeared in the referee section.

I haven't heard anything from any of the unis i applied to and am quite worried, are all unis accepting applications upto the 22nd (extended deadline due to snow and closures).

How long does it normally take to recieve offers from at least one uni? I've applied for law.

Universities have several more months yet before they have to reply to you - UCAS tell them to aim for the end of March if you applied before the Jan deadline but in reality they've got until early May. They have to consider your application equally provided you got it in before the deadline so you're fine. Some people applied in september time and still don't have any offers/replies from universities yet - the UCAS process can take 6 months or more, or it might be over in a matter of weeks if you've applied for a less competitive course, for example. But sadly in your case law is incredibly competitive and therefore you'll be waiting a while yet

I applied for law in mid september and don't have an offer,
I would think it was strange if you had an offer already, its been less than two weeks, be serious- lazy academics aren't in any sort of rush,
just chilax and eventually they will come

The referee usually does collate information provided by several people - it is perfectly normal for their names not to appear on the application.

As others have said, it's usual to wait a while for offers for law, so don't worry. As long as your application was in to UCAS before midnight on 22 January you are in the 'equal consideration' group.
