I've read on the lse website that a 2.1 is required for all the MSc programs like Economics, Finance, etc.. Do you know about someone who got in with a 2.2 (possibily achieved at LSE). many other good MSc programmes in other european unis require a 3.5 GPA (=2.1)

I've never heard of it, and I think it's probably next to impossible, unless you have some sort of extenuating circumstances. The programmes are among the most competitive in the world, and for a lot of them I don't think even a 2:1 is good enough.

I see... 'Some of the very top premium programmes such as the full time MSc Finance and the MSc Financial Mathematics have admission rates below 3%'

you'd be hard-pressed getting into the msc economics/finance with a 2.1, much less a 2.2. it's maybe possible for the less popular courses, but still unlikely. good luck in any case if you decide to apply
