Filthy Marxist :p:

Agree with you on the killing rights thing. After all, the essence of this thread is liberty, and liberty is best defined as the freedom to do, say or think anything that does not harm another or infringe upon said other's liberty.
Gah, I hate Marxists and socialists more than any other kind of people!

And yes, I agree with you on liberty.

No one has the right to end another person's life. Everything is okay, unless it directly harms someone else. End of. Killing obv does.

And of course I have rights, and so do you. They are NOT fictional, and we were born with them. How horribly fascist of you to tell me I need a government to "grant" me my rights. How dare you or anyone else withhold my rights from me just because you are the "government". A government should be there to secure my rights, not limit them.

And for the last time, I am not a ******* liberal.
Just because saying there is no such thing as rights is taboo by societies standard, does not mean it is not true. The government has granted your rights, and your privileges, you don't like it go somewhere with a collapsed economy and a lax justice system. You can't redefine the word government to fit with what you've been brought up to believe. I don't get why you liberals think you're so damn special, you are no different from the rest of us and you're beliefs and storeys are just creations of the environment in which you grew- you all a bunch of damn empty shells; you are not unique, you are not individuals- just because you feel you are does not make it so.

now go away, your infringing my right to party with hitler and the rest of my right winged buddies.

Again, I am not a ******* liberal.

And, again, I do not need a government to grant me my rights - I have my rights. End of. Everyone is an individual, as the collectivisation you seem to support fails, because it does not go on the premise that all human beings are unique and different. You talk about me saying "you are not unique, you are all empty shells", as if you aren't! Then let me ask, what makes you so damn special?

The government has not yet "granted" (I prefer "recognised" ) all my rights - in fact, they seem intent on taking them away. Wiretapping, constant CCTV, ID cards and soldiers on the street are examples of this.

What do you mean I should go and live somewhere with a collapsed economy and a lax justice system? Places like that usually are the result of big government and limited rights.

Now now boys. Keep it friendly.

Riddle's right when he says rights are artificial, IMO. If they weren't, atrocities like the Holocaust would be hard to explain.

Pearson's right when he says that some of the rights he should be entitled to are not granted by the government.

You are a product of everything that has ever come into contact with you. We are all led to believe we are unique from an early age, that we are all different. The only difference is external influences. You have your stories and your beliefs and have built them up to the point where you actually believe in them. I am not different to anyone, and neither are you. So sit back and be controlled by a machine that has ultimately benefited you. You are mugged, there is no CCTV there is no justice. You are found in a ditch, no ID no funeral. I especially hate whiny liberals, if you actually do believe in what you preach shouldn't you be out boycotting some fatcat MP and blowing up his residence. now let me get back to my party..

what are you if you're not liberal, i'm pretty sure your profile says you are.

no but apparently it's neither cool nor liberal to be protected by someone with the power to protect. In fact we should all rely on whiny hippie's to counter global terrorism. "apparently"

There is a false sense of protection. When your government puts armed fighters, trained to kill, on your streets, it is one of many steps towards a police state.

Before my tin-foil hat falls off, read this - http://www.libertycoalition.net/dail...us-mike-german. Posse Comitatus is the rule that the military cannot be used in law enforcement missions.

What amuses me is that I also post in an American political forum, and there it's the republicans who bang on about big government.

A vice versa situation, if you will.

Fact is, as with all political questions, its a matter of balance.

So easy to generalize and still be correct when you're apolitical .

You really should learn some politics. It may come in useful. English too. I am not a liberal and I am not a hippie - I am a LIBERTARIAN. There is a HUGE difference between them all.

Now I'm off to bed and quite frankly, I really cannot be bothered with you. Ever. Don't reply to this, you are obviously not intelligent enough to follow a standard debate.

Your next passport will cause you to be registered into the National ID database.
You've been on that database since you were 16 anyway...

I'm not authoritarian, I was merely pointing out that liberalism is ridiculous.

I previously stated I was apolitical; I will sleep safe in the knowledge that you shall receive an infraction for speaking freely. TOTALITARIANISM WINS!! MAHWEHAHHEHWSHUW

I'd just like to ask what can the army do that the police can't. I mean yes every army person can handle a gun, whereas not every police person can, however there may as well be tanks and aircraft on (and above!) the streets because all a 'terrorist' has to do is walk streight on past with a bomb in his underpants.
