    Hey,
    If you do A-levels at a Grammar school, and you got a place at the Sixth Form of that school coming from another school, what predicted grades did you have for the subjects you wanted to study, and overall?

    I wasnt but a friend of mine achieved around 3 A* A's B's.

    Thats achieved though, not predicted

    I go to a private school not grammar, but they wanted 6 A's and in addition, you had to get 'qualify' for the subjects you wanted to do, eg you needed an A or better in spanish if you wanted to do Spanish, B in art for art related things, A in history etc etc

    Our one is 6 A-Cs at GCSE, and a B above in the subject taken for A Level. Probably anachronistic though since it's not actually all that good.

    My school is a grammar school and we have to get an average of a B in all subjects, but As in certain subjects that we want to study.

    At the grammar school I am at now, to study the subjects you wanted at A-level you needed a minimum of an A at GCSE in those subjects. To get into the sixth form you needed minimum 6A's at gcse.

    To get into my sixth form you need C's in Maths and English (although I'm sure someone sneaky people failed Maths!), and 4B's in the subjects you want to study for AS.

    I don't seem to remember that our school had any grade rules. You would be advised by the head of sixth form though that you should try your hand at subjects you would be better suited to (ie. stop doing this, you're crap at it - go and get good grades at x or y). To be fair though pretty much everyone got A*, A or B for GCSE so it was fine and people who got lower grades didn't want to do the subjects they got the low grades in. One of the local comprehensives needed B in the A level subjects you wanted to take.

    Got into Camphill Boys in Birmingham or something, although I didn't go there in the end. A*s predicted in maths, stats, double science, music and the rest were As. I wouldn't worry if I were you.
