# rearranging formulae watch

1. hi,
I've been given some rearranging formulae questions but i can do most of them. Except two which are ,

1. E=mgh+1/2mv². make m the subject of the formula
and

2. s=1/2(u+v)t make u the subject of the formula

could you show the working out please
thankyou
2. isolate the variable you need and keep undoing the equation, shifting everything you don't need to the other side :>

for the first one, write the right hand side as m(gh + 1/2v²)
3. E = mgh + 1/2 mv^2
E = m(gh + 1/2 v^2)
m = E/(gh + 1/2 v^2)

s = 1/2(u+v)t
2s = (u+v)t
2s/t = u+v
u = (2s/t) - v
4. 2.
s = (u+v)t/2
2 = (u+v)t
(2s)/t = u + v
(2s)/t -v = u
5. thank you guys !!!
6. nah fam
7. wait yeh fam sry bruv
