If one wished to complain about the aspects of several course modules, who would you go about complaining to?

Would you just complain to the university, or is there someone you can complain too that would take the complaint more seriously?

I'm not happy with the quality of the modules I'm currently studying and the tutors/assessments are an embarrassment to the university.

I'm really not happy with spending £3000 a year for such shocking teaching.

Is there anything we can do? Or is it simply that we have to deal with it?

    Thanks

Speak to your year tutor in the department(s) concerned, module coveners (academic in charge of the module), course reps.

Then take it up at a staff-student meeting or departmental review.

If this fails, then there must be a formal compaint procedure? But I wouldn't advise this unless the situation is actualy particularly serious (eg. discrimination). Speak to your course reps and year tutors first if you haven't already.

I'm no longer at Staffordshire, I transferred universities.

I don't think it matters where I am, I'm not here to simply ***** about universities. Just asking what the procedure is... if there even is one.

Staffordshire? I'm afraid that poor teaching is what you can expect from there.

Staffordshire had a very supportive group of tutors and the course structure was very good.

By the way, this isn't a thread to ***** about universities.

I'm not *****ing pal. I'm just baffled those that go to poor universities complain how standards such as teaching aren't as high as they wanted. What do you expect?

Take your baffling somewhere else, it isn't a thread for that either

You ask a question asking for advice on how to complain about the standard of teaching at your university.

I pretty much answered it for you*
