Do what you did in the summer?
lol..kinda obvious..isnt it?.....go to the gym and stay away from junk food?...
Surely everyone knows how to lose weight. It's just a case of doing it!

I know how you feel! It happens to all of us, so don't worry. I always gain weight over the winter... I guess in the colder months you just feel like cuddling up and eating more, especially in December! But have comfort knowing you'll probably work it all off again once you start eating healthier and being more active, like you were in the summer? You need to work on getting the willpower again.

I think for OP it's more a case of keeping it off which has a few contributing factors, determination, self esteem and mental health. What's your life like, OP? Do you go to school/college/uni? Do you have lots of friends? Do you socialise a lot? What are you depressed about?
Cut out junk.. exercise..
Theres no two ways around it its hard work

just do some exercise... like weekly or something to start off with... cut down on junk food... a few good tips: hot drinks like tea & soup help you to feel fuller than you are, so when you feel you want to eat something, just drink something hot. (but don't stuff your tea with sugar, try a dash of honey instead)
get more sleep? i read on an article somewhere that if you don't sleep enough & are tired, your appetite increases.
but the main thing is exercise, need to speed up your metabolism.

Eat healthy.
Go for a run.
Don't expect results overnight.
Do it.

Just get back into the training routine; perfect your diet and maintain a healthy active lifestyle and you'll be back in no time!

Get a training and diet program because otherwise a) you won't know what you're doing in the gym unless you're experienced b) you won't be able to monitor improvements and c) you'll eventually lose your motivation. The gym is a fad for 99% of people, they go and they stop, they like to pretend like they know what they're doing but they have no training program, they rarely get any stronger or fitter and if they do it's slow and a minor improvement, which ebbs when they stop bothering to go at Christmas. Be different.

im so depressed, i lost quite a lot of weight during the summer but have now but it all back on due to eating junk food since about december
i really gotta lose weight as imgettin fat now
any tips please help,

I had this problem! and ive pretty much sorted! so first hand experience here! In no particular order...

1. Drink water ! as much as you can !
2. I cut out all takeaways, chocolate biscuits cake crisp etc, fizzy drinks, high fat containing products. i eat alot of fruit now and try as much veg as possible (dont work much i hate most of them lol)
3. Speed up your metabolism, aka eat little and often, eat snacks such as apples and ceral bars or whatever every 3 hours max.
4. Have breakfast! this is crucial! best stuff would probably be porridle although atm i have fruit and fibre and bran flakes, but these arent the best.
5. Exercise! i currently run 4.5 miles at least once a week and time it, trying to beat my time all the time, plus i do football training and play football.
6. More exercise, i bought a pull up bar and have been using this ive gone from 0 pull ups to 8 in 2 weeks, in also use it for pressups and dips and do loads of situps, im about to do some now cause i didnt last nite haha :P
7. Finally ! motivation ! if you havent got any FIND SOME ! imagine your body after all the effort put in! imagine peoples positive responses to you! and be glad of the fact that you are making yourself healthier, you will feel 10 times better for it, and keep drinking that water, and get as much vitamin c as possible and drink water this is vital, and you will get ill less and your face should be glowing !

and that is all! good luck :P, although you dont need luck you need self motivation! and possible thinking!
Positive thinking!

No it doesn't, I've always been under 9.5 stone and rarely go +/-5 no matter how much crap I eat :s-smilie:

you kinda have to change ur life style. keep eating at regular times or even more frecuently just make sure what u eat is in small portions and is healthy. eat lots of vegetables and fruits to keep ur system clean. Then eat starch for energy before you exercize and protein (healthy protein without fat) after you exercize so you build mussle which will help burn fat and keep it gone. drink lots of water not sodas or sweet drinks.

Oh, well it's all right for some. :colonhash: Just wait till you hit 30 and then you'll pile on all the pounds! I say that to all my friends like you, haha.

I meant to say "the best of us" :colondollar:, but I'll go with some of us, then. Usually girls too.
I'm doing the alternate day diet and so far since 1st january I've lost 15lbs. I've tried other diets and they're just depressing, this has been the only one I've been able to stick with so far.
