    i've been attempting these for the past 20 minutes, and google searching gives me 3 different sets of results?

    i need to know the equation and half equation of potassium chloride + bromine solution (when its electrolysed)?

    i know the full equation is: Potassium Iodide + Bromine -> Potassium Bromide + Iodine

    i'm not too sure on the half equations tho. i've had way too many results: can somebody clarify what the half equations actually are?

    THANK YOU!

    2KI + Br2 ----> 2KBr + I2

    2I- => I2 + 2e-

    Br2 + 2e- => 2Br-

    the replies will help you in short term, but understanding the whole concept is very useful in long term. do read up when you have the time, ie not a night before your test/exam/assessment
