Is it possible to change course after results day?

I'm thinking of making the switch from law to history.

How about change of year of entry ?
ie swap 2011 instead of 2010 & vice versa ?

you can try, phone up your firm as them to release you, and go through clearing to get a place at another uni on the course you want

depending on your grades some of the top uni's are not always/ never in clearing for history it be a risk, or you could take a year out and re-apply

If you want to do it, then you'll have a much better chance if you let the universities know now rather than waiting until results day when they have filled all their spaces. Deferring from 2010 to 2011 is easier to do than changing a deferred entry to 2010, for the same reason.

I was told that it's reasonably easy to change course after results day, but you may have to wait a few weeks into the course to be able to change. I just emailed the University I want to go to and asked if I could change course and they've updated UCAS track and replaced my previous application for Psychology with History It's probably easier to change before results day though.
