Oh, wicked; me too What accommodation did you apply for? Is it the 27th that we go in, then? I'm from Spain so I blagged the 'International' thing :yep:
Heronbank/AV/Tocil/Rootes/Whitefields, though now I'm really hoping I don't get the ensuites, haha. I think it might start on the 28th? it started on a Tuesday last year, so... yeah I dunno, guess we'll just wait and see when this year's program is officially announced I'm so glad I'm international, there's so many perks to being able to move in early!

Aah, cool You're the first person I've met that's applied for Heronbank as their first :yep: I hope some people are staying at Westwood or I'll be like such a loner :P

I'm sure they'll e-mail us or something? Do you reckon a lot of people will go in early?

Met anyone on your course yet?

Sorry, that was a lot of questions! haha :o:

I really wanted a 39-week ensuite at one point, now I realised it doesn't really matter... meh I'm just crossing my fingers that I don't get it! And don't worry, of course there'll be other people at Westwood :P whether they'll be fun or not is a different question

I think we get sent a booklet on it at some point over the summer. There do seem to be quite a lot of people who go in early, which is good.

I've "met" a few of them through Facebook how about you?

Yeah, I was like that at first, then I realised I wanted to socialise more than have a bathroom to myself! :L

Pffft: please, it's not the location, it's the people: and, as long as i'm there, the best parties will be hosted

I have indeed Mostly people on my course and one person at Westwood :yep:

    I'm actually really excited now!

Well out of those the only en suites are AV and JM
I chose AV, I liked it more because it had a common room off the kitchen which I thought would be really nice to socialise in! Rootes came close second with me though!

There should be two arrivals parties over Arrivals Weekend (tip: move in on the 2nd, regardless of surname). There is no Freshers Week (rather a Freshers Fortnight). This means that there are lectures from the Monday or Tuesday from the 4th of October. The first few are introductory, up to you if you go to them or not.

The union should organise events most nights up until Saturday of week 2. A Freshers Passport (if they offer it this year) will cover all events from the first Top B to Saturday week 2.
