I've been listening to a lot of Bjork recently and I think she has the best voice ever. She can hit all sorts of notes and sings and screams with passion. I've been trying to look for vocalists that can match her, but haven't had much luck. Can anybody think of any suggestions?

Doesn't have to be female, just have an amazing, epic voice.
+ rep to the best suggestion.

I'll second that, just check out the live version of Roads, chilling stuff:

EDIT: Just seen your post above, oh well, check out Amanda Palmer's solo album "Who Killed Amanda Palmer", it's on Spotify.

Shame that video is clipped (distorted). I'd like to get the proper dvd.

Edit: Ahh well, the video seems to have been disabled by now? At least I'm getting that message.

I think Helene Boksle has an amazing voice. She sang vocals for the Age of Conan online MMOrpg game.

And I like some of Bjork's music as well, and all of these others are very good examples too.

Karin Dreijer Andersson ( she is one half of the The Knife and Fever ray)

Some people think she isn't a good singer but I really, really love all her projects and love how odd and bit creep all their stuff is.

Jónsi from Sigur Rós is releasing a solo album this year.
This is a song from it. Very uplifting and wonderful vocals.. plus he sings in English which is unusual for him

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I think Tilie has got the closest with Fever Ray. I like the quirkeyness. Keep 'em coming.

Something along the lines of this would be amazing:

    or:

Bjork does so much varied stuff that it's worth having a look at her other stuff too.
