Uni - the course is academically fantastic, but you get the feeling your working very hard to come out with say a 2.2 or 2.1 whereas you could have more fun elsewhere and come out with a better degree at the end of it....... Just annoying really.
What are your plans for next year?
Lots of students do get Firsts and 2:1s...

I know lots of students get 1st or 2.1s, but they put a hell of a lot of effort in to get them compared to other university students, and unless you want employment at one of the very top City firms then (imo) its not worth it. When an application says 2.1 or above required, then they wont differentiate much between a 2.1 at Warwick and a 2.1 from Birmingham (say) but the difference in the courses is quite large.

Plans for next year, hopefully I will secure a job before my gap year, I have one application in for deferred entry which im quietly confident about, and visas for NZ and AUS.

Interesting that is your view. Because I seem to get a lot of students who turn up to seminars and appear to be very ill prepared.

    Well:
i)Pretty sure that is well understood amongst the general public that Warwick is one of the best unis in the country.
ii)Certain that the significant recruiters of economics graduates know that Warwick is a top 5 uni for economics (and that Birmingham is not).
iii)Recruiters look at your actual skills and knowledge not just your univeristy name. So compared with 'easier' courses that extra education should give you direct benefits.

    All The Best with that.
