I have real problems with motivating myself to do work. Im fairly intelligent but I have always had this problem with concentrating. I need to get 3 As by the end of this year but I dont know how?

Anyone else got this problem or had it? and if so how did you get rid of it?

Take a real interest in the subject, rather than working your way through sheets of information. If you have difficulty starting, tell yourself I will do just 5 minutes, then stop and do soemthing else, it doesnt sound a lot, but it gets you going, and you will often end up getting into it and doing more. Make sure exactly what work you need to do and by when, ambiguity will make it seem unmanageable, but knowing ok i need to write notes on this subject by thursday lunchtime for example breaks it down into bitesize chunks. Start study groups with friends or other people on the course, its a great way to bounce ideas around, and you feel like you have to work beacuse they are working around you.
